Medical issues and Highland Dress

My wife wears Birkenstocks for her job. They're made from a foam-type material on the outside, and have a special replaceable insole, which is supposed to help with foot problems.

She absolutely loves them and is on her feet for 7-9 hours a day.

I'll see if I can't track down where she got them.

Thank you for your advice. It certainly makes a lot of good sense. I will find something suitable eventually. But I miss my ghillie brogues.

Just a thought, but....if it's the laces that are causing the problem, could you perhaps try an alternative method of tying them?
