My wife wears Birkenstocks for her job. They're made from a foam-type material on the outside, and have a special replaceable insole, which is supposed to help with foot problems.
She absolutely loves them and is on her feet for 7-9 hours a day.
I'll see if I can't track down where she got them.

Link - That's where we got her's. 79$ is a pretty good price. They have several colors available, including black and brown.
