I seem to recall a large purchase of custom woven PV tartan where the buyer thought that he had asked for a kilt selvedge, but fringe clearly showed on the order sheet. Said buyer was stuck with the fringed stuff, and had to make the best of it. In the end, nobody was particularly happy, but AFAIK all parties (there were many) were able to make the best of it.

This kilt is what he ordered and it fits. I hope that he will come to like it.
