    Enumclaw

I just put in my application for the Masters 50+. I know two of the other guys listed, one is significantly better than I am and the other guy and I will have a horse race if I'm on my game. Masters 50+ throw on Sunday. I'll be on the grounds on Saturday, to watch and cheer and snap some pics.

We oughtta have an X Marks and Athletes get-together! This is assuming I'm accepted to throw!

When is it? It's about four hours from here, but I might be convinced.

    July 25-26.

James, I'm trying to convince Jon Thorn, our up-and coming best B thrower down here to come up. Wally says he gotta throw in the A's. You and Duncan MacCallum will have him for breakfast, but it'll be his first foray into the A's. He just moved up to 50-foot tosses in the LWFD at Livermore, and is doing 90+ light hammers aND 70+ Heavy hammers. Nothing wrong with that! I bet he'll be in the mid 50's in the LWFD by July.... So he won't embarrass himself. I just gotta get a fork in his hands and a sheaf.

I guess I could have answered the date issue. I just missed it. And don't worry, I will get my hind end handed to me as an A at "The Claw". Greg Bell and John Odden will be there. Greg is our local A/Pro when accepted. He tries to get in as a pro, but doesn't always get in. John is my coach, and well, check out NASGA. Look at the Victoria, BC games a couple weeks ago. It is still gonna be a blast. I also recommend trying to throw on turf covered plywood platforms, if you haven't before. We will be throwing in a horse arena with platforms. They steamroll the ground and lay them out. It is a little strange, but not terrible. The trig is also set up in the wing pattern. If you have not seen this before, check into it.

    See you there!

I'll be at the games all three days. I'm sure we will have others to root for you.

Alan, even if you don't get accepted, please consider showing up anyway. Would be nice to finally have a chance to meet you in person. I suspect that we will have a kilt night during that weekend.
