Congrats on the new sgian and my hats off to Joe for making such a wonderful piece of art!
Freelancer, according to the little bit of research I did achlais is Gaelic for armpit. The sgian achlais was worn hidden in the armpit. I don't know how accurate that info is but that's what I found.
