To answer WV Piper's question, no, Kathy Lare, and other members of the Traditional Kiltmakers Guild only make "tanks." They leave the 4 yard kilts to others as Barb mentioned.

They are more craftsmen than businessmen if that makes any sense...specializing in one thing as many other hand sewn kiltmakers do...like, I don't know if it'd even be wise to ask Robert MacDonald in Vancouver that question.

Kathy Lare's box pleats are the traditional military style box pleats - much different than the type Matt and Barb offer.

Just sent off final payment to Kathy for my kilt, she's been recvovering from surgery but is doing very well when I last talked to her.

The worse part of the jones is here! The wait for your kilt to arrive knowing it is finished!

Ah --- you know that it's only a few days away --- after she is satisfied that she has pressed the pleats so that they will hold and hold and hold their knife edge...

We want pictures, of course, when you get it!

I'm glad to hear that she is doing very well. I was concerned about her.
