Great pictures of a super setting. Did you suffer from mozzies at all?

If you mean "mozzies="skeeters" then we were lucky. We were between "hatchings ( until the eve of the last day) & had a nice breeze. There is also a bat population ( were they hide out ???) that hang around "camp" & do a GREAT job. ( IMHO, they use us as "bait"

Great pictures! About this time of year I have already had my fill of brown, the seasonal green doesn't last long. On the plus side, being so dry we rarely get a 'skeeter' a year. When I go somewhere else in the summer I am a prime target, an untouched food source and very tender.

Yup skeeters, I should have remembered that having been eaten alive on the prairie in Alberta on numerous occasions. Those canadian mozzies could bite you through a combat jacket.

Out here in the PNW, we are Surrounded by "hills" - The Olympic Range 30 mi to the West (main peak=7,000+') The Cascades 60 mi to the East ( peaks up to 8000'+) & OUR "big boys"in between,, MT BAKER ( about 9000' & RAINIER ( over 14000')

We Respect our "hills, BUT "Scary" NO, exceopt, the fact that our "big Boys are ACTIVE VOLCANOES.
