Captmac was gifted a new custom made skein dubh and dirk. Anyone interested PM "wlverine" on the member list and he will fix you up. I think they are mighty handsome.

Neato, tenor bagpipe drone top dirk handle and blowstick sgian handle! Are they made of African Blackwood?

That skein dubh is defiantly "unique"

But I REALLY LIKE the "dirk" Not only is the Haft/handle BEAUTIFUL, but USABLE.

BTW, my "guess" on the "black wood = Ebony ??
