Well, I gave the jacket a good steaming and brushing, and looked it over real well in the process. It looks to be in good shape. One small issue is that I had someone look at the jacket and the spare navy blue trousers together out in the sun light. The trousers are a different texture and material, so they look slightly different, though still the same color. I don't think it's too big of a deal, however, I have the trousers from my other navy blue suit, and those are very very close to the same texture and material. Both of the trousers are the mid-rise, beltless style of trousers, and I prefer those for my suits.

While I was doing that, I thought of the discriptions of some of the kilt jackets that have the double row of buttons up the front, like a Prince Charlie, and perhaps it gives me a little bit of an idea of how that works.

I think one of these days I would like to have a navy blue kilt jacket; the formal or black tie type things aren't really a part of my life. It's kind of fun to learn about them though.
