Wearing a kilt to Work

For me the kilt goes on when I feel like wearing a kilt. If it's a work day - it's a kilted work day. If it's a weekend, it's a kilted weekend. No one ever says anything other than a question about "is it a Scottish holiday?" or something like that. I think the best answer is always a nope or similar and move on with the task at hand. It has never gone further than that so it's not a distraction unless I were to make it so.

I infrequently wear kilts to work.
I work in an ammunition factory as a "gunner" and generally only wear kilts on "High Days" (Repeal of the Proscription Act, April 6th... you get the idea) or when summer temps go over 90. That is when my Utilikilts and my X-Kilt come out.

The place is dirty enough to not want to endanger my wool kilts, but I did make an exception on Tartan Day, and wore my US Army tartan. But was very careful in how I performed my duties.

I'd echo the others comments, at first you get the anticipated questions and wise cracks, and after a bit about the only question I get is "What Scottish Holiday is it?"
