I am trying to get the purchase approved by the wife! At that price it makes no sense not to make the purchase seeming I was planning on doing so in the future anyway!!! On the site it says that they run slim fitting so order up a size. If you are say a chest size 38 and regular sleeve length and are in fact slim yourself, would you still suggest moving up a size?

Yes, we have a 48 Long and a 50 Long. Yes, they tend to run a little snug, so we always recomend getting 1 size larger.

The other way to do it... measure around your chest at the widest point (nipple height) with your arms at your side (and the tape measure NOT going around your arms... JUST your chest). Whatever you come up with, add 2" and round up to the nearest even number. If you measure 48, get a 50. If you measure 47, get a 50 if you want a little room or a 48 if you want it 'snug fitting'.

    Ordered. Let the jonesing begin!

Rocky, thanks for your help over e-mail and for the sale. You've saved me from a cheap suit. Now I can stop being underdressed for my wife's functions. Now to try and find her some dress clothes.... Unfortuately she hates to shop for herself more than I do, and it takes me ages to buy something.

Rocky's PV tartan is actually made in England rather than Scotland, so try to deal with that! The Marton Mills PV tartan was intended for English schoolgirl uniforms (not the naughty kind), therefore the smaller setts of many of the tartans. I love the stuff, despite its origins.
