    SWK Black Shadow Tartan

I have a SWK Black Shadow Tartan and a SWK Black Watch. Both kilts are the heavy duty wool, but that is where the similarity ends. I have hardly never done any pressing on this kilt. It seems like you can wad it up beat it up, but it always comes out with the pleats looking great and very sharp. My Black Shadow Tartan is just the opposite. I have spent hours pressing it and really it looks no different than before I pressed it. It is always getting new wrinkle and the wrinkle seems welded in place. The edges on the pleats cannot even be compared to my Black watch. Does anyone else have a SWK Black Shadow Tartan that 'behaves' like this? I am about to give up and pitch this kilt because it looks awful and I cannot seem to do anything for it.

You might want to speak to Jerry first. He gives top notch customer service, and might be able to help you in some way.

My Black Shadow Sk doesn't behave nearly as bad I get the occasional wrinkle but my kilts don't get the best of care to begin with.

I have noticed my SWK Irish National does wrinkle more that my others do for some reason. Maybe Jerry will come on with an answer or suggestions, it would be helpful!

My SWK Irish Nat doesn't wrinkle too badly, but the edges on the apron curle up something wicked, and I really hate that.

My SWK wool Shadow Saffron is a little like that. Lighter weight and somewhat wrinkle prone. But it was purchased as a “blemished” (small cut in the waistband) at a price reduction so I’m satisfied.

Aside: I have a (discontinued) SWK Thrifty in Black Shadow that even in acrylic seems lighter weight than other Thrifty’s. That one is no more likely to hard wrinkle than any other acrylic.
