Congratulations. Civil engineers, they are the polite ones, right? Reminds me of the story that civil engineers design roads, bridges and dams so mechanical engineers can design munitions to destroy them.

Your daughter, as a civil engineer, might be interested to know that my great-great grandfather Sir Sandford Fleming, was Chancellor of Queens for many years, an honour that he considered to be the greatest bestowed upon him.
