In regards to the top level post in the thread. Spot on. I just had that experience. I sent a kilt, unpaid to an X Marker in Canada, he sent me a check with no kilt in hand. No problem.

Through the short time I have been on this board there have been many acts of kindness between X-Markers from complete opposite corners of the Earth. Seeing the trust and kindness that goes with it on this board is very inspiring.

There are very few internet forums with members looking forward to an opportunity to meet each other like this one. The travels of the Saltire. The visit of the Lord of Kilts from the United Kingdom to be with all these strangers in California. Where else than Clan X-Marks?

This is a great place to hang out with the family. Little did Chief Highlandtide know that this would turn into a slightly larger group of people with the common interest in all things kilted.

There is definitely a sense of closeness and kinship here there is no doubt. Although we may have differing opinions, we are all here for the same reason: to carry on and preserve our scottish heritage and culture
