A D-Day salute

A salute to my wife's uncle Galen Myer who went ashore on Omaha Beach. He was 87 and recently died the beginning of May

id like to honor my grandfather he wasnt part of the d-day but id still think of him during this time of year , he one of those brave men told to hold the line while other troops evacuated and sadly some surrendered

he was sadly captured soon after with his company and ended up a p.o.w after a forced march of several hundred miles to one of the stalag camps for the remainder of the war till the Russians freed him
