Wow, some good looking kilts at those games! Are there any photos of you at this event?

It gots lots of looks and admiration, but no one took it home with them. It's priced at $500. If you are interested, PM me.

I didn't get any on my camera, but I'm sure someone did. There was an X Marks Group shot taken and I'm sure it will be posted soon.

I was wearing my Carolina tartan kilt, beaver fur Glengyle FB sporran, brown balmoral hose, and a loden green Woolrich shirt.

No pics to add I'm afraid, but a few thoughts.

It was at least 20 degrees cooler this year than last. Much nicer. They brought some of the athletics up to the field with the clan tents, it was a little difficult watching the caber toss (for instance) last year. The music was awesome - and the new concert in the evening was the best deal for $10 anywhere.

Heard some remarks that the Carolina kilt that Matt Newsome wore looked better in person than in a picture, color wise. That picture of the lad in a long kilt and the mother in a shorter one - the whole family were at the parade the day before. My wife approved of getting the boys kilts too long, their mother is thinking ahead and those kilts will fit for quite a number of years and not have to be discarded when they get taller, always something to think about when buying for young teens. For some reason my wife doesn't want to get a short kilted skirt like that mother had, sigh.

Best for last - we camped at the nearby state park. And guess who was camping at about 8 or 10 other sites, including the one right next to us? All the girl from the Miss South Carolina pagent. My neck still hurts from the swiveling necessary to take in all the outdoor beauty of that campground.

Looking forward for the XMarks group photo. Glad to meet some more forum members.

It wouldn't look nearly as long if he weren't wearing it down around his hips the way he normally wears p@nts.
