Most cool. Even the long jacket seems to work. Do you happen to know when/where?
Thanks

*sigh*
What I wouldn't give to dial back the clock and attend prom with a kilted lad
I don't know about you guys, but my life needs some more formal gatherings where dancing is common. I'm tired of my ultra casual life!!

Cost has become a problem for most wanting to go to prom. The list is endless when thinking about going. However kilts are an alternative to cutting the cost of renting a tux and are just as fashionable if not more so than a tux. It is supposed to be a special event for the Juniors and especially the Seniors. Though not a prom goer in the truest sense, I did go kilted this year at the request of the Seniors. Will have some pix of me at graduation shortly.
All dressed up in my IOS and ready for the BHS Prom.

My son will be attending his grade 8 grad kilted... at his request even if I can get him looking half decent I will post pics (with his permission) when I have them. I'm pretty sure that he will just be in shirt and tie... maybe a vest as I have not been able to get him a jacket in time.

Us heathens are making a come back. And a whole lot of us are kilted.
As to the prom thing... I've noticed a drop in the number of kids going out dressed like they're going to prom. It used to be that not a weekend went by this time of year where I didn't see boys wearing il fitting formalwear and girls with so much crap in their hair that they were fire dangers in blue dresses. I have been wondering what's been going on... I know a couple proms got cancelled due to inclement weather, so I thought that might be the case. But budget cuts make a lot of sense. Who needs superfluos things like art and culture when the football team needs new pads? We have to keep our priorities...

Nice, Nulty! I love that tartan... What the heck did you do to yourself?

All of the prom pics became kilted graduation pics... but so long as this board exists there will never be a shortage of kilted bingo-night pics.

It was a dressed-down prom year. Even though we live on the "good side of town" you can tell the economy is kicking people. My daughter's prom date wore a dark pin striped suit instead of renting a tuxedo. Drove his mom's car instead of a rental. I thought he looked fine though - nice boy. The down economy didn't stop my wife from spending $250 dollars on my daughter's prom dress though!

You've got to love the logic behind prom/wedding dresses.
The most expensive article of clothing many women own they only wear once.
A man wears his kilt whenever, wherever.
