My Chisholm Kilt

Look'n good Scott!! I have an Ancient Hunting Chisholm from Burnett's & Struth in Canada, a Modern Hunting Chisholm boxpleat from our own Matt Newsome, and a Dress Red Chisholm from Duncan Chisholm and Sons in Inverness. I love them all but I'm more partial to the Ancient Hunting tartan. You do it proud!

i was beginning to think id never see it the way hector russel was messing me about but at least i got it in the end ,i was in two minds whether to get the dress red but like yourself i prefer the ancient hunting tartans colours ..plus at £179 ($294) i couldnt say no ..if money isn't tight in the future i may treat myself to a dress red Chisholm kilt

on a side note i finally got round to buying the ydna 37 mtdna test kit so here`s hoping i`ll do my bit for the Chisholm clan DNA site i seem to have traced my tree over 100 years further back than the other 99 Chisholm's who have taken the test and i`ll be the youngest thats taken it also apparently ,so i eagerly await the kit to come through

Congratulations on being the 100'th Chisholm to take the DNA test! Your results will be very interesting. You should be an I1a (Norman/Viking) with roots back to the border Chiefs, while I'm a I1a going back to the highland Chiefs. It will be interesting to see where the mutations are...
