Anybody else running Windows Seven yet?

I've been running the release candidate of windows seven for a while now, and I love it. It's been rock solid so far, not a single crash. That's a hell of a lot more than I can say for Vista, XP, 98, or any Linux distro I've ever used. And this isn't even the final version that they're going to sell!
I'd love to hear what the rest of the rabble think.

I'm still on XP and have never had a second of trouble, where did you get this new version? Would be interested in trying it out. Vista was a disaster from the get go as far as I'm concerned! Keep us posted on your progress!

I got it from microsoft's website. You can find it here: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/
I will personally add somewhat the same caveat that they have, even though my experiences with 7 have been good. Don't jump on this as your day to day operating system until you know it works for you. I find it works wonderfully for me, but it is in the end still unsupported pre-release software, and will expire eventually.

been running it for the last 6 betas it is a lot better than vista but there are still some compaitability issues with windows xp. unless you have an msdn account you can't get it legally yet. it is much improved from what vista was and is. they have fixed a number of problems with it and they got rid of the memory leak that plagues xp. I believe it is supposed to be released this fall. the final version should be more polished than the beta is but when it comes out I would recommened it to anyone. I would recommened it even in the beta form if you have access. Thanks,

An msdn account requires nothing more than signing up-and if you have a hotmail or other .net passport account, all you have to do is sign in. But, yes, I think you're right about sometime this fall, last I heard RTM was slated for mid-august.

I figure that any new operating system from Microshaft is going to be a bigger memory hog than Windoz XP. I don't really want to have a gig of RAM just to operate the box, and another to run what I want to do.
I'll use XP until it's no longer supported, just because it's what came in the box, then either move to Linux or get a Mac.
 Lovin' the breeze 'tween m'knees!

32-bit version will only see 3 GB of RAM, no matter how much you install. I have a critical little applet that won't run in 64-bit mode, so 3 GB is all I can use. Of course, I have never actually used more than 2 GB, even though I have 4 GB installed.
Hate Vista. Don't want to pay for 7.
