On July 1, 1782, George III signed the Repeal of the Act Prescribing the Wearing of Highland Dress.

Cool! It's also Canada Day -- or the day one of my American friends described as "When y'all up north celebrate the Fourth of July."

Well, since I'll be on vacation... I just may ave to wear a kilt. July 1... I'll be breaking down camp and heading for my next camp. I think perhaps my Amerkilt may be the most practical- even if it isn't tartan.

Blimey... it's a world of coincidence. It so happens the 30th of June (the day preceding) is pay day. That must mean July 1st is also get the beers in day. I love it when a plan comes together !!
