Tyger Forge belt buckles are unique, handcrafted, solid metal buckles. These original custom designs are copyrighted, and they are forged by hand one-at-a-time. Traditional hand tools are used to cut, shape, and solder the finest solid metals. Each creation can be either one metal type, or a warm mix of contrasting metals. All metals are finished with the hand-rubbed natural color of the metal.

In this Married Metal Series of buckles, the top is made from either brass, copper, pewter, or sterling silver. The bottom is made from either brass or copper. The buckle diameter is 3 1/2 inches. The back bar is made to fit belts that are 2 ¼ to 2 ½ inches wide; however, if you want a bar made to fit some other belt width, please let me know. Every buckle is custom made and can require up to 6 weeks for construction and delivery.

Each buckle comes in a soft velvet bag, and is accompanied by a card that describes the history and heraldry of the design, a card that describes how to care for the natural color of the metal, and a Sunshine® cloth.

Those are wonderful things; on my wish list, but further down than I'd like.

Folks, I remember when I first saw this post and I thought; "those are nice." Well I saw a several up close at the Scottish Tartans Museum during the "Taste of Scotland" weekend and I must say they are gorgeous. They are well worth it if you have the $. Matt and I both agreed, anything hand made that is of good quality is totally worth it.

I'm not sure if this has been said yet on this post, but I seem to recall Matt saying the maker made everything, even the rivets.
