    Hey Bob,

The insignia on the "jacket" in my pic were added. The "jacket" comes plain from WPG.

The insignia I added are replicas, as is the "jacket." I added mine as a replica of the jacket my late father wore as an American serving in the R.A.F. in 1942. He was a Flying Sergeant and flew Hurricanes with the 59 Operational Training Unit until the U.S. Army Air Corps got set up in England in September 1942 and he, and most other Americans in the R.A.F. were transferred to the Army Air Corps.

I wear the jacket in honor of his service.

Thanks for clarifying, that does seem entirely appropriate.

Ron, you got the kilt in honour of your father, by wearing the rank of Flight Sergeant and the wings to further honour shows disrepect to those that actually earned them and to those that paid the ultimate sacrifice. To wear an unadorned RAF jacket would be acceptable as an accessory to the kilt anything further I consider as being a poser and that you have no right to wear. I'd proudly display my father's medals but would never wear them (nor replicas as I purchased of my grand-fathers service in WWI). Just my opinion Ron, take of it as you will.
