Many of those could fit the bill as Texas too... hit a deer... wild hogs... ect.. distance is measured in hours traveled... we have two seasons... hot and not as hot as opposed to cold and not as cold..... Rifles/ shotguns are considered normal accessories in a pickup truck... mater of fact.. you find more pickups on the road than cars.. something I bet we share with Canada... seeing someone wearing shorts and boots is not uncommon.. small town diners and seeing wild game on the menu.. and so on...

I'm from Southern Alberta... My parents had a house in Northern Montana too -- Whitefish. Some of the best times in my life have been spent there! Beautiful country (and true about the deer).

With the exception of "south of Detroit," I've seen all of those listed for "You know you're from Western PA when ..."
Of course, I remember when Jeff Foxworthy was interviewed by a radio station down in Pittsburgh, and he said the main difference between northern and southern rednecks were our accents weren't as strong and we wore more flannel.

The first time I saw that list, it said, "you know you're from upstate New York when..."

I doubt Foxworthy had anything to do with it.
