Fair enough I say no more. So how warm are these jackets? How thick the wool? I know we used to wear similar uniforms in the R.C. Air Cadets. they were fazed out in the late 70's and went to a bottle green (shudder) uniform as part of the unification of the armed forces.
The RCAC are now back to the blues. The tunic that the cadets wore were a little longer than the Ike jacket, battle blouse or battle jacket.

I have a few WW2 pictures of my great uncle D'Arcy Carter in his uniform that I should did out. He was a flight instructor during the war. I believe his uniform had the longer tunic too.
But the WPG jackets look like great kilt accessories and the price seems reasonable too. BTW great pic Ron.

who for all of her air cadet career had to wear the ugly green uniform, but it was worth it for all the flight hours and great adventures!!
