I'm pretty sure a "manual trannie" means something else out here.
Enjoying the travelog, Steve.

Yup, that's one of the wizard's own kilts and I think you could hide several small appliances in the stealth pockets in that thing!

I have never understood why Canada did not adopt the same side as the road as the mother country!
But I do agree on the roundabouts we have FAR to many of the blighters!

Roundabouts are fabulous!!!! Instead of waiting for traffic lights (especially the metal activated ones that motorcycles don't seem to trigger) they are the most efficient way of keeping traffic moving. Well at least the counter clockwise ones work well....then there are those that constantly go around in circles not knowing when to get off...poor buggers.

Steve "took" to the left-sided driving and roundabouts after a relatively short time. My job was to encourage him to "keep left" and sometimes remark that he was perhaps too far left -- when I got hit in the face with the branches of the hedges.

And that's why I ride motorcycles. Though I must say, while I am restyling my vintage Harley-Davidson Sportster into a screaming British-style cafe racer I've been riding around on the other motorcycle in the family, which has an automatic transmission (but no stereo or cruise control... ).
I get a little scared when I hear about people who aren't completely engaged in the process of piloting 1000 kilogrammes of hurtling deadly metal...
So, Steve -- didja ever look over at Bobbie and say (as my father did in Scotland), "Well, Dear, you're in the driver's seat."

Great piccys Steve...cant wait for more...Ask Macman the next time you see him about our wild rides in Scotland...we are both follically challenged in no small part because of our driving trip around Scotland....I personally liked the roundabouts once I figured them out (which was on the way home in the plane).
Cheers

Just because you are paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you.
