I am "out here." And I'm not sure what a manual trannie is in San Fransisco, but in the great state of Washington, it means a clutch and anywhere from three to six gears that you shift to make the change the speed or the power of the car with.

I assume that because you are vague about how many gears "three to six" that the cars are English with a variable number of gears actually functioning each day?

Sorry I just had to after thinking about shifting in my sister's father-in-law's TR-6

Not exactly the smoothest gearbox I have ever experienced!
