    A Royal Welch(old spelling) Fusilier's cap. I stand to be corrected here, but I suspect the "new" Royal Regiment of Fusiliers' cap or badge will not be much different.

    In Canada a red band on the forge cap is also worn by the Royal Canadian Artillery, so it's just not an "MP thing".

    Except Red Caps do not wear a red band, but rather a "red top":

    True, when it was still the Canadian Provost Corps, but as Canadian Security Branch they wear regular issue blue Army caps with the red band. But one regular duty it's still the red beret.

    They would use their own otherwise the drill would be different
