Jock, you are still on our prayer list and will be for a while. BTW, fancy a little fly fishing at 8100 ft? It would be just the relaxing thing for you while recovering.

Jock,
I just spent the last 90 minutes reading this thread. You are a loved man, by many. Though I am a newbie, I am honored that you have taken the time to respond to my silly threads. I am sad to hear about the incident, but happy you have your spirits as well as most of your teeth. I have a feeling you will be as missed at the hospital as you were in this forum. Get Well and Live Long!

Gosh! You spent all that time reading about me! Love the picture and caption. Well, as you rightly point out many people here have been so kind and suportive to my family and me too, even if I was not really aware of it for quite a while. So let me say:" Welcome, from Inverness-shire"! Oh sad to say, I am more than a few teeth short already due to the accident and I am due to loose eight more on Monday. Do you know, by any chance, anything about learning to "drive" a set of false teeth?:

Falsies
Unfortunately my father was not a fan of his false teeth. Gagged him a little and made him sound like Dracula. Of course, it could have merely been the fit the US Marine Corps dentist gave him. I am sure with today's technology you will have no problem adjusting. Of course it may be a while before you enjoy a fine steak and kidney pie, better off with the mushy haggis.

Don't worry.
I am going to be off the air for a few days as I have a bit of a big day tomorrow, so please don't worry.
Cue "Great Escape" music.
I have been sitting out under a shady tree, during a heatwave that we have been having, so say watching the tennis at Wimbledon on TV,actually I have been casing the perimeter and noting the movements of the guards. The first phase of the escape plan starts tomorrow! With a bit of luck the surgeon will alter my features enough to fool the guards when I decide the time is right to put phase two into action. I had yet another run in with the Camp Commandant, a humourless besom, when she rumbled the fact that half the contents of my Roses lime juice bottle was actually gin! Nearly had to spend a week or two in the cooler over that! Never mind, we are having a new Commandant take over for a few weeks, which will help the plan no end.
Fade the music.
I will keep you posted!

Its good seeing you in good spirits..I have faith you will be able to smooze this new commadante.. she will be no match for the smoothness of the Jock Scot... remember.. if you can't dazzle her with your brilliance.. baffle her with your bull....LOL
My prayers are with you.. and pray you have a quick recovery with tomorrows appointment.. You are strong.. and full of spirit.. keep your head high and everything else is easy... and so what if ya have to eat mushy peas for a bit.. in no time.. you will be back to your steak and kidney pies...LOL

Jock, you are in our prayers for tomorrow. If you need a place to get away for a while after, we can get you set up here at about 7717 ft with great trout fishing and a view of snow covered mountains. Quite the relaxing area.
