Since this thread has been running I am still waiting for my kilt from Frugal Corner that I ordered in their St. Patrick's Day sale, and it is now July. They lost my order in their move, and can't find any trace of it in their records, but say they have tacked it onto someone else's rush wedding order and that I should expect it by the middle of this month. I can't say I'm surprised, based on other's comments and knowing that they were relocating while my order was pending. Maybe I like living dangerously!

OTOH, with the sale price it is half the cost of a green kilt from Stillwater, and the latter has a 'shadow' tartan, whereas I actually want plain green, not green-on-green, so as to be more authentically Irish, plus the one I have ordered is custom length as well for that price.

I am now hoping that it will get here before the Old Town Irish Festival on August 1st. Even if it doesn't, I won't be half as upset as the people in that wedding party will be! I can always just wear a different kilt.

The main differences between the two dealers are selection and service. Neither of them have both at the same time. I suppose if you just wear anything that you like and don't worry if you are the right clan or WHY, then you would always go with Stillwater, but I am personally rather averse to stepping on other people's toes by wearing their tartans.

I have an Irish National kilt from Stillwater and hopefully soon will have a Solid Green kilt from the Frugal Corner. Once I get a Solid Saffron kilt from Stillwater (which I know I am bound to do, sooner or later) I will have everything that either of them offer that I actually want and don't already have, having Irish, but no Scots, blood. Getting the Solid Green one from FC is a bit more challenging, but I'm not put off by the delays (so far).
