Three inches below the knee is a bit draconian. Some folks have had good luck finding belts at places like Lowe's and Home Depot. I got a great web belt which I wear with my UK Workman.

I love my SWK Thrifty in Irish National. I bought it for St. Patrick's Day, and at $30 it's cheap enough that if someone should puke on it, I wouldn't care.
