Good luck with it; I've had 4 strokes, but only felt 2 of them (they only found out about the others when I had a CT scan done after the last one I felt). It can be sort of a helpless feeling, but at least they now have medications that can almost wholly reverse them if you get to the hospital within 3 hours.

Dodged a couple big bullets there big fella. Congrats on negotiating the minefield successfully. Wishes for a speedy and complete recovery.

All fingers and toes crossed and multiple candles lit for your wife's surgery.

    Best for you both.

I feel mighty lucky that I ALWAYS carry aspirin and nitroglycerine on my key chain. Seriously recommend that ANYONE with ANY heart or BP concerns seriously consider the very low cost aluminum pill containers that attach to key chains. That way they are always there when out and about and the wife knows exactly where to find them. Two aspirin at the slightest signs can be a real miracle drug. You learn to chew them Immediately! Maybe others will benefit from this. My first heart hit came when atop Mount Mitchell..35 miles from anywhere. 98% blockage, Those first few minutes are critical. Thanks for ALL of the support. This too will pass and I DO feel blessed!

Hope all goes well; I also carry the nitro everywhere, but have never had to use it.

No brew!!! Oh the Horror! The humanity!!!!

Be brave; things will slowly improve where you can have a sip or two.

I am glad to read that everything still seems to be functional, even if a bit slow, it can improve with time - you take care now!!

I also hope all goes well for your wife. These days surgery is normally only done when really necessary, so it should make life better - at least it has done for a couple of my neighbours.

I've been away the last 5 days, now trying to catch up with the posts. Just read your post, lucky you got the medical attention when you did. I hope that your wife's surgery went well and pray that you both have a speedy recovery and good health ahead.
