I'd go for it. £100 well spent. I've been happy with ex-hire bargains in that price range. I've worn casual kilts to Highland Games and felt decidedly out of place among all the proper kilts worn by the pipe band people. You can never have too many kilts, I own thirteen formal eight yard wool kilts with number fourteen on order and I also have a further thirty casuals ranging from five yard wool kilts through tourist tat kilts to modern manskirts.

It'll just encourage me to wear them to every event - even non-Scottish and non-formal occasions. I have The Gathering, Piping Championships, a wedding and my graduation this year. I could also wear my kilt for Christmas & New Year. There will probably be events and parties between these things too and I might be going to a few Scotland football matches
They'll both get well-worn
