New Kilt, New Photos... catching up!
Hey fellow XMarkers. It's been a while since I posted so I figured I'd bring something new and interesting to the table. First, I really hate that I wasn't able to meet up with anyone this weekend in Grandfather Mtn for the games. I'm about 2 hours down the road and was busy playing concerts all weekend... 1 on Friday night and 2 on Saturday. Maybe next year... BUT, in spite of that, I do have some exciting new photos to share. Back in mid/late May I put my order in with Matt Newsome for a 4-yard casual kilt in my family's Weathered Lamont tartan. My fiance' and I had planned to do engagement photos at the end of June, and I didn't have many hopes that it would be here in time for those photos. Well, I was happily surprised when I got the shipping notice the Thursday before we were to to the photos, which was in 2 days. Needless to say, the kilt is AMAZING and gorgeous, and it was a perfect way to really personalize our photos. As an aside, I have to say that if this kilt were a full 8-yard kilt, it would be WAY to heavy for my taste. This 4-yard 16oz kilt is almost as heavy as my 8-yard Black Watch kilt from SWK. It really is perfect for pretty much any temperature, except for extreme heat. Anyway... here are some photos! Our photographer gave us almost 100 photos to choose from, so these are some of the better ones featuring the new kilt... and my bride to be! Thanks so much to Matt Newsome... hope you read this note and check out the photos!

Bryan,
Those are wonderful photos! You and your fiancee look very happy, and I wish you much happiness. If you keep wearing the kilt like that, I have no doubt all will be well!

Sandford

You're a fine looking young lad, but like most of us, you have outkicked your coverage. She's beautiful.
All my best to you two crazy kids.
Why, a child of five could understand this. Quick -- someone fetch me a child of five!

Bryan,
I know you were excited to receive your kilt, and I'm glad to finally be able to see photos of you enjoying it. You and your bride-to-be both look lovely. Congrats on the upcoming nuptuals -- I trust the wedding will feature a kilted groom! :-)
