My wife and I were at Cracker Barrel Yesterday morning. I, however, was not kilted this time.

I wear a kilt mainly to celebrate my scottish heritage. The only attention I'm worried about is from my wife. She does comment that now it take me longer to get dressed than her when we go out and it takes me longer to pack for trips.

I was asked several times at my class reunion why I was kilted. I replied to several that no I was not Scottish. Two men asked me why a skirt/cool kilt to which I responded the cool kilt has it. One lady I told it was to get the attention of beautiful women; she smiled and thanked me. I've never been averse to more attention.

i don't actually know why i got the kilt i'm currently wearing, it just seemed like a good idea, i have no recent scotish heratage to my knowledge and no one else i know wears one

since getting it however i've discovered the comfort and confidence that comes from being kilted and can't see myself wearing anything else, its been an eye opening experiance and this is just my first day lol

My fiancée accuses me of doing it for the attention... but simply, I've found that most people around where I wear it have better things to worry about than some bloke walking around in kilt. Very few comments, and even fewer are negative.

So not for the attention. But they are darned comfy!

    Good question and...

    Nice pancakes!

Strangely enough, I've yet to be inside a Cracker Barrel anywhere. Nor have I seen any on the west coast.

Anyway, I kilt partly for my heritage and partly for the comfort factor.
