That's just the laugh I needed after a long Monday!

Great story, Chas, and definitely one a lot of us could use on a Monday.
I've occasionally thought about the feasibility of putting a remote control speaker in the head of a full-mask sporran. Every so often, when you get that one irritating individual, activate the remote and have your sporran start barking/spitting/snarling/clucking (in Grant's case ) at him/her. If there was only a way to get the head to move too ...

Animatronic full mask sporrans...the next fad in kiltdom! Hmmm. Does anyone remember those old "Teddy Ruxpin" dolls? I bet the works from the head could be put into a full mask sporran, and the cassete player could be replaced with a cheap mp3 player. Add a circuit for LED's inside the eyes and you could really freak people out with a sporran!

That's a great story.
Why, a child of five could understand this. Quick -- someone fetch me a child of five!

Good for the lad! I hope someone bought him and Irn Bru or something after that episode. He deserves it!
I can empathize with him. I've always been more attractive to older women, too. I would have melted into the ground when I was 12 if I had been in the first situation you described.

Ah...
In the back of my mind, I'm starting to consider a full mask sporran now.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…
