It's True: Kilts Are Chick Magnets!
GOTCHA!
The Newsome Household added ten new members today.
This morning, my wife went out to pick up chicks. (Funny, but when I ask her if I can do the same thing, she says "no!"). Today, when I got home from work, I found her and our kids out in the back yard welcoming our new three-week old hens to their home.
In a few months, we shall be rich with eggs! I can almost taste the omlettes now....

You know you need a rooster now, to make sure all those chicks (and the neighbors) wake up at the right time.

We used to have guinea hens which were always noisy it seemed. Hope your chicks are of the quieter variety.

Boy, I wish I would have knocked together one of those swell outdoor kid holders when mine were that age - really would have saved me loads of work keeping up with them!
Seriously though, sweet photos Matt!

Those are some mighty unusual chicks you've got there, Matt. Was the hen surprised?
