Buy the kilt. You can never have too many kilts!

I got the kilt today. It's AMAZING!
I love it... fits perfectly and it's even more special because the maker I went to designed the tartan aswell! It was worn 3times and shows no signs of it. Looks perfectly new, the pleats are great - nice and long and the kilts 16oz... nice and thick to keep me warm during The Gathering!

I don't want to post pics and ruin the sight for those of you who will be seeing the kilt on that weekend (although youre probably not bothered haha)!

For those of you who are looking for very high quality, fitted and well-made kilts for a lot cheaper than getting one made check out http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/scottishtartanstore/
And you can contact them directly on there or by phone on +44 (0)141 333 9136.
Some of their kilts are ex-hire but kept very well and look no more worn than after your first day out in a new kilt. You can also have them made - fully hand-stitched for under £250. They're based near Maryhill in Glasgow (where my dad's from) and you can go in and try on the kilt before buying if you like. I believe they ship for free too - and probably quite ceap to the USA.
    Ex-hire kilts are generally £100-150.
    Hope this helps!

Paul, great news that you have your new kilt and you seem to be very happy with it. I'm sure you will look great in it. Might see you in Edinburgh at one of the meetings, remember and collect your dandelion

Congratulations, sounds to me like you made a wise choice. Can't wait to see pictures of the kilt in action.

BTW the dandelion is the official plant badge of XMarksTheScot.
