There have long been legends that the Picts came from Scythia. Somewhere in the steppes of eastern Europe. Since the definition of ancient Scythia varies, theres really no way to tell.
The Amazons were also supposed to come from Scythia.
Bram Stoker, the creator of the modern fictional Dracula (as opposed to the real Dracula), was Anglo-Irish.

I decided to throw out this little factoid when I came across it while doing some research on my own heritage. Given the heated threads which have developed on this site as to what constitues being Scottish, I thought it worth sharing. That particular debate is of little interest to me, as I have no Scottish ancestry.
