Tim Hortons for me because of the nicotine! I just can't get enough... I always enjoyed Columbian but two weeks in Jamaica turned me on to Blue Mountain. Upon my return to Canada I could not find it anywhere except one place for $145/Lb!!!

Yeah, the real stuff is awesome but it is expensive as hell, as is Kona!
You know that coffee Jack Nicholson was drinking in the "Bucket List" 7 to 800 dollars a pound!

At home I only drink Taylor Maid. They're a local business and offer some outstanding coffees. They have it in bins at my local market so I put together my own bag that's 50% French Roast mixed with one of their medium roasted premium blends. Good stuff!!

kilted roaster
http://acmecoffeeroasting.com/
I've plugged them here before. Acme is a small artisan roaster in Seaside, California. But don't try to visit when you're in town for the Monterey games, Larry will be throwing that weekend and he closes the shop.
The second time I visited I was greeted as an old friend and regular customer. I don't get down as often as I would like these days, but I'm still a regular.
Here in San Jose is http://www.barefootcoffeeroasters.com/, a more new agey kind of artisan roaster. They just got in the smoothest Kenyan coffee I think I've ever tasted.

Have you heard of Cat Poo Coffee? There are a couple of places in Minnesota that sell the stuff for $50 a cup. You can't make this stuff up. And no, I didn't try it. I would rather spend my $50 towards another kilt. Kilt On!

The best coffee may have been coffee that I never tasted, but it was delicious in my imagination. When I was a kid and my parents entertained at home, my mother always made a pot of coffee in the old electric percolator. As it gurgled and sighed, it emitted the most intoxicating aroma which wafted up the stairs along with the murmurs and laughter of the guests. I sat quietly in my pajamas at the top step, drinking it all in.
No coffee since has ever smelled as good.
Regards,
Rex.

I had a friend some years back who didn't drink coffee, she said it just didn't taste as good as it smells.

Rex!
I know exactly what you are talking about. Mine was my grandmother making coffee at the Jersey shore. My grandfather always snuck us a bit! To wake up to that and the smell of pork roll...omg
