    Hose recommendations

What hose color is recommended for a Black Watch kilt? Should I go with lovett green or bottle green? I'm going to venture a guess that black would be acceptable?

How about the Irish saffron from Stillwater?

Yep. All good. Just depends on the rest of your outfit. Do what appeals to you and looks good. Cheers!

I got my Ancient Campbell today which is extremely similar to Black Watch - only a bit lighter. Black look great and so do lovett green. I dont have bottle to try but I'm sure they'd look good too.
I plan to wearm green if the rest of my outfit is mostly black and vice versa. Simply because whatever makes the outfit more subtly striking

Bottle green looks great with Black Watch. Can't say for the Irish saffron, haven't seen one in person yet.

Maroon would look pretty sharp too. With blue flashes(ties).

Yep, Bottle Green will be great. Some folk don't care for black, but I wear them and they'd work, too depending on the rest of your outfit.

I'd get bottle green - they can be worn with the Black Watch and saffron kilt.

From what I've read white's the best color

I usually wear black with my Black Watch- but I wear everything else black too - I look like Johnny Cash in a kilt

Personally, I'd go with bottle green, but I suppose it depends on the rest of the outfit.

    Catdad,

Take a look at this thread

    http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/1...691/index.html

I'm wearing a kilt in the Black Watch tartan in these pictures and you will see several different options for hose color.

    Cheers
