Sorry to hear about your wife, and i hope that you are going to enjoy the stay. I don't know what my schedule is like in august, I hope to travel across the water to meet you.
My prayers for a smooth transition for both of you. I know you will find comfort if your wife finds good care in a convenient location, and she will find the care she needs, even if not easy for either of you.
We have been dealing with a similar situation with my mother in law, and I know it is a very hard decision to make. I know it doesn't make it any easier to accept, but often this is the best decision for all involved.
You and Ann will be in our prayers. Be strong Alex.
The time has come when Ann needs to be placed in permanent residential nursing care.
Alex,
Our thoughts are with you and Ann. There's the off chance I'll be able to take a break from zooming around the country and head out to Vic to meet you. A chance, but until then we'll send all best wishes your way.

My prayers and thoughts go out to you and Ann. These decisions are not easy.
You have thought this out well. Do enjoy your respite trip to BC (wish I could get away myself to meet you). Glad there is such a fine facility available for Ann.
