Of course, the answer is...yes! They will both work really well. However, don't sell the Doc Martens short. I think they are great with the outfit you have on in the above picture. I have a pair of those in solid Navy blue, and I love them. Your kilt is great, and your ideas about your ensemble are great as well. IMHO, the Doc Martens you have are fantastic, and make a great outfit with your other kit. You may jones for single color Doc Martens, but your model is on my jones list...Congratulations!
