    Worried about Bobilicious

    Hey y'all-
After getting my heather isles tank and a Motgomery tank for my bro, we ordered a Lamont for my youngest brother almost 5 weeks ago. I have been emailing Bob for the last 2 weeks trying to inform him of my move, but have got no response. I've tried through his ebay store, his personal hotmail,,,NADA. Does anyone have any info? I'm getting to the point where I'll not be able to dispute my paypal payment (I really don't want to do that), and I'm just wondering if anyone has had contact recently.-Josh

    Who are you talking about?
The spirit of the Declaration of Arbroath (6 April 1320) abides today, defiantly resisting any tyranny that would disarm, disperse and despoil proud people of just morals, determined to keep the means of protecting their families and way of life close at hand.

You can dispute the payment and later cancel it. That will not only alert Bobilicious to your concern but create a little more time for them to resolve the issue.

Remember, this is vacation season in the UK too. I would not worry.....mine arrived 2 weeks ago, about 8-9 weeks after requesting it to be made. Besides, he could be ill.

Bob Chalmers has had a very good reputation for a very long time. Disputing payments, then stopping or reversing same, can cause really big headaches for the customer and the merchant. I would hold back on that.

Let us know when you hear from him... I'm planning to place another order from him myself in the next couple of weeks...

I'm sure he's just out of pocket temporarily... He's great to deal with.

Sent you some additional information via PM that may help...

    Hey Gang-
i've been trying to email him for almost 3 weeks to no reply. I sent one this morning explaining that I need some response, or that I'd have to dispute the payment at the very least to by more time. I had absolutely no problem with him up until now, and I know personally how disruptive a dispute is.....I just don't know what to do. I have some other info which I may follow up on first.......

I have sent Mr Chalmers an email to see if the e channel is open on my end. Could be a ping/bounce problem on other routes? This might serve as a communication cross check. I will let you know as soon as I hear back from Mr Chalmers.

I am having severe email problems at the moment - just not receiving them - I am getting maybe 20 percent of the normal incoming mail.

Contacting servers has brought either flat denials, or admission of problems they are unable to fix - so it could be that there is something seriously amiss in the British ether-net, or there are to many service engineers on holiday on the beaches of the Med.

Mr Chalmers and I have emailed each other back and forth 6 times in the past 18 hours. He, and I, and-apparently- our computers/webs, are doing fine.

I think that in this day of instant communication, we come to truly expect instant communication. However, things do not always go as expected. I can't tell you how many times important incomming communications have either been blocked as spam, or were routed into a bulk or spam folder. It happens every week or two.

Then there is the really crazy stuff!
