Her hose are nicely done in fine wool and if they are hand knit as she says, they are, and not machine knit, they are well done and worth the cost. As for the difference, I really don't see any except that she uses much softer wool yarns... and the gauge seems a bit finer as well...than most kilt hose are knit of which is why they are priced as they are.
It gives me the idea of taking some of the cashmere fiber I have waiting to be spun and spin up some yarn for a pair of cashmere kilt hose for my DH!!
