Way I see it- if she doesn't like our pale legs, she can not look... or look and wear sun glasses. If she wants to do neither, then well- that's her problem.

It was Conan O'Brien who sat on the couch of Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist (anyone remember that animated show?) and said, "I come from people whose complexions are best suited to living in a bog." I resemble that remark and have decided, who the h*ll am I to buck thousands of years of genetics?
Why, a child of five could understand this. Quick -- someone fetch me a child of five!

Many years ago I tried a product from Coppertone. It turned me a lovely shade of orange and taught me the value of sticking with what Nature gave me.

I have to do as the Aussies say: Slip, Slap, Slop.
Slip on a shirt.
Slap on a hat.
Slop on some sunscreen.

Live with it, flaunt your pastiness. It's not "white shanks", it's "translucent alabaster"...make the mocking woman swoon with desire...then deny her...

I'd just ease up on the sun-block a bit... The Heath & Beauty industry have done such a good job of pushing sun-block that people are starting to get rickets and other nasty Vitamin-D deficient maladies again! Your skin NEEDS sunlight to make its own Vitamin D, just don't over-do it. Instead of using SPF30, cut back to SPF15, and don't re-apply so often. I'm no sun-worshiper; but, I'm a bald-headed naturist, and I don't get burnt... A little more body awareness helps too: your skin will tell you when it's getting too hot, you just have to listen for it, and get the hell into the shade when you feel it.
The spirit of the Declaration of Arbroath (6 April 1320) abides today, defiantly resisting any tyranny that would disarm, disperse and despoil proud people of just morals, determined to keep the means of protecting their families and way of life close at hand.
