			Montreal Highland games 2009

					Well,
These were my first games. I was just a little bit anxious about it. The weather was aiming toward thunder storms all day and having had a baby almost 2 weeks earlier, I was wondering about how it was going to go with mommy alone.(I went alone and left the family at home)

I left home early this morning, and promptly for got my umbrela...

I arrived around 10 am, and the vendors were still seting up. So I made my first round. For some reason, they were a lot of australain hat vendors...
I was going mostly to see what the stuff looked like before having to buy it off the net. (the store that supplied kilts and accessories in Mtl closed about 2 years ago.)

The first thing that caught my eyes

 Then I met these guys...

I also met Canuck from RKilt. I'm a pretty shy guy so I stuttered a bit and was doing the shy guy thing by repeating stuff and changing the subject and so on... But I have to say that he was quite the gentleman. I also got to see and touch some stuff that I was interrested in. Now I know I want a hemp RKilt. And a sporran...

I also got to meet Parpin. Unfortunately, as I was talking to him, an old rugby teammate came to talk to me. So I lost contact with Parpin.
Parpin, we need a kilt night in Mtl. (And everyboby else who is interrested...)

This guy a had a cool vest. Asked him if he had to kill a couch to get the hide....
He said yes... I told him it was a good Gonzo look, but I got a blank stare from that...

 Some tents

 Cool kid

Did I mentionned that it rained...

                                                #2

My haul from my first games. Not much, but I went more to look around than to buy. Instakilt, hoses, sgian don't, flatbread and fudge. (the last two for the kids at home)

Next year I will take more pictures...
