Morning from Loch Awe in the West Highlands
Notice Charles very very rarely wears ghillies. Why ? He's about 5ft 9" and the laces of ghillies up the leg always cut the look, appearance and length of the leg so a man of under 5ft 10" always looks shorter
If you like the diced hose he wears do let me know and I get you some
Time to get kilted...out local Games are on today
regards

Thank you for these new photos, Glen.
It's always a pleasure to admire the Duke of Rothesay's attire.
Best,

I really like that coat Camilla wears, with the bias tartan lapels. Has me thinking about XMTS tartan lapels on a blue, maybe denim, blazer. . . hmmmmm. . . would cuffs be too much?

I really like those square cut bottoms on his vests. Very sharp, IMO.

I like the fact that his kilt hose have wrinkles at the front of the ankle, just like the ones I made! Gives me hope yet! LOL

Still not sure about the brown sporran / black shoes though.

I also love that look, and I don't think that cuffs would be too much as long as they aren't extremely wide! I have a blazer in BlackWatch with solid black lapels, and I think the reverse would look gorgeous!
Prince Charles is definitely a snappy dresser and always wears his kilt like a true gentleman (knees together when sitting, everything neat and clean, etc.) I agree with Matt Newsome about the mixing of leathers and metals being a guideline rather than a hard and fast rule! (Of course, don't even suggest the same idea about the white shoes rule to a true Southerner! )
Thanks so much for the pictures! I have a friend from Bristol, England, who sent me pictures years ago - I will have to make the effort to dig them up and scan them in!
