Kathi and I where going to a Highland Games event we stoped at McDonald for something to drink. Well I'm here I may as well take a pee. In I go lift up my kilt and the door opens this guy looks in and shouts I'm sorry. I second later he opens the door again after looking at the Mens sign on the door. So I finish and I am washing my hands, I look over and said so you thought you were in the wrong bathroom. He started to laugh and said well you cought me.

The best response I ever had to wearing a kilt [or pipes] was while in Israel. I didn't wear it much in Jerusalem, but I did smuggle the kilt and bagpipes on the tour to Masada...

On top of the mount I got permission to climb up on some rubble and play ... and play I did.

My second-favorite reaction ... you could make a commercial out of it:

    Traditional Scottish Kilt - $600
    Kilt Hose - $20
    Drinks - $15

Hearing the people behind you trying to figure out if that is a woman at the urinel .. priceless.

The best things in life are free. For everything else, try mugging the English ;)

Well, it was abroad for me... Lurking 'round Kent and East Sussex last week, I had two Scots expatriates say how glad they were to see the kilt being worn. One was with his young son.

"See lad, he's got a kilt like Dad's!" --- priceless.
