Scottishkilts.net & Irishkilts.net
Hello All,
Does anyone know why the prices on Scottishkilts.net and Irishkilts.net are so much lower than their associated sites, tartanweb, st kilda, etc.
Has anyone done business with scottishkilts.net/irishkilts.net lately? Are the prices listed on these websites correct?
Cheers,
ColMac

I have 2 kilts, a jacket/waistcoat, dress sporran, etc from them and they are top notch. Email return is not always as prompted as many would like, but the service, product, and experience with Scottishkilts.net was an A+

The funny thing about Tartanweb.com and Scottishkilts.net is how they switch off as to who is the cheapest for the same items. Some times its one, some times the other. Today its tartanweb, identical kilt costs $82 less there.
Ditto as to what Collin said. I have a kilt from there. Great value. Not much communication but well made and promptly shipped.
Best regards,
Jake

I bought two kilts from scottishkilts when they had a special sale last year, then two this year from tartanweb when their prices were lower than scottishkilts. Interestingly, if there are folks out there who are wanting kilts in rare or even custom woven tartans, I have gotten two this year from tartanweb for the regular price of their heavyweights, a huge discount from having to have the custom tartan woven then paid to have someone else make up the kilt---like several hundred less.
For instance, I wanted an 8 yd kilt in Ancient Red Douglas 16 ox tartan, which at other retailers as a custom weave costing about $70 a meter for single width fabric ($560 just for the fabric) when I could (and did) order it from tartanweb as a standard 8 yd kilt "heavyweight any tartan" a couple months ago for $336 plus $25 s/h. i do have to wait an extra 6-8 weeks for the custom weave but the price was guaranteed. Prices are a little higher right now but only about $30 more, probably related to the changing exchange rate. The kilts I have from either scottishkilts or tartanweb have been well made and well fitting, and I am satisfied with the quality.

At tartanweb the best deals are on their Jura collection kilts if you find a tartan you want from that group. I want an ancient Caledonia one day. next best deals are on the lochcarron strome from the selection they list.
