I lived in Belmar from 1965 until 1998. Then moved to the Red Bank area. Are you thinking of Klein's or Havens & Hamptons? The two great places to eat in Belmar are no longer there. That would be Evelyn's and right across the street was Zelbe's (best fried clams on earth!).

Well, Jersey, on the whole, isn't what it used to be and there are a lot of socio-economic and political reasons for that. Bottom line is the cost of living keeps going up while the quality of life keeps sinking. You can have it!
