Day 6 – The Gathering: Clan activities
I head back to Malcolm MacCallum Clan {MMC) tent and told that George Young has dropped by looking for me. I head to the Lamont Clan tent to find Oldhiker and reward him with a dandelion.
Back at the MMC tent I have my most poignant moment. We were having a good turn out of Scots at the tent. I realize three Malcolm Scot men stand near me all in the Malcolm ancient tartan kilt. The Secretary of the Aussie MMC in the same tartan joins us for the photo.
More to come of today!

great pics there Ern... you certainly followed the royalty about! What about Alex Salmond? I was too busy following him
It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom -- for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.

Day 7 – The Gathering: Entertainment
This day I only got to hear the Battlefield Band as I waited in line for food.
Good music and bonnie lasses of Scotland to ease the pain of over an hour of waiting time in line.
The lasses confessed they had taken my photo earlier in the day. Actually it was Willie’s!

Day 7 – The Gathering: Doing a favor For a XMarker
Josh, NorCalPiper had asked me to hand deliver to his chief Sir Wayne Broun of the Brown Clan a swatch of the new tartan "Browns of the South East" designed by Josh. The tartan has been sanctioned by the Chief as a Clan tartan. It took me a few attempts to connect with Sir Wayne, and boy was he pleased to show it off to his fellow Browns!
Sir Wayne is to my right.
Heading back the Malcolm MacCallum tent I came across this piper. Willie was not too pleased.
At my Clan tent, Neil McCallum gave me the card of a newspaper reporter from Virginia with The Richmond Times Dispatch. He said she wanted to interview me and would probably catch up with me at the Parade this evening. It was time to head back to Pollock Halls and change for the Parade.
As I went to grab something at Fairgrounds for dinner who should I come across performing but Clann An Drumma!
More to come – The Parade!
